| KPMG Appoints New Senior Partner
|
After 15 years of having had the privilege and honor to lead a Firm formed by professionals who are passionate about their work, it is my pleasure to inform you that the General Partner’s Meeting recently appointed Victor L. Esquivel as the new Senior Partner of KPMG in Mexico. The appointment will come into effect as of October 1st, 2016.
I want to acknowledge Victor’s background in our Firm, defined by solid leadership with a global vision. He has excelled in a great number of projects and engagements, through his capacity to promote and adapt to change. One of his most prominent virtues as a leader has been that of inspiring confidence among multidisciplinary teams, and through leading by example, motivating them to maximize their potential for the benefit of our clients.
His successful professional career (you may view his career profile here), along with the opportunities that we foresee as a Firm, are important reasons for which he has been selected as the next Senior Partner of KPMG in Mexico.
I am certain that, under Victor L. Esquivel’s leadership, KPMG in Mexico will continue to offer the highest standards of quality, ethics and professionalism that have distinguished our Firm for 70 years in Mexico.
Today I feel proud of recognizing the strong path and continuous growth that I have had the privilege to lead within a multidisciplinary Firm that provides Audit, Tax and Advisory services.
Without doubt, as of October 1st, a new and promising cycle will begin for KPMG in Mexico, in which we will continue to deliver on our firm commitment to meet our clients’ expectations, to encourage our talent, and to have an impact on our communities.

Victor L. Esquivel
Senior Partner Elect, KPMG in Mexico
Effective October 1st, 2016
Victor is a public accountant from ITAM University in Mexico, certified by the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants (IMCP, for its acronym in Spanish) as well as by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. He also completed a Master’s degree in Finance (Honors) at the Anahuac University in Mexico. He has 25-years' experience advising leading companies in industries such as private equity, telecommunications, media and entertainment, energy, manufacturing and automotive, among others. He is frequently quoted in local and international business magazines and media.
With a solid KPMG career behind him, Victor has served as a member of the Executive Committee for the past eight years and has also served as the Head of Advisory since 2010. Formerly, he was the Partner In-charge of Financial Advisory Services, and the Partner In-charge of Transaction Services. He served within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) line of business in the Audit practice for eight years, and participated in two international assignments to the Dallas and Houston offices of KPMG LLP.
Victor has devoted an important part of his career to serving private equity firms investing in Mexico, where he participated in over 40 transactions. His professional experience has been focused on providing merger and acquisition services to domestic and international clients in their transactions in Mexico, Central and South America, and the United States.
